Our very special memories of you on your BIRTHDAY xo

From Carol- Some of my memories going to the crowning of the rose bowl queen when we were 14! your grandparents took us we had so much fun and were very dressed up and rode in the back of your grandpa bigler's car and got a flat tire on the way home. roscoe called my mom to let her know she thought he was the very most polite person.
going to D.C. to see the AIDS quilt the first time it was on the Washington Mall and looking for people we had known and lost 1986!
Roscoe deciding he was going to nursing school and us talking for hours would he disclose his hiv status or not. NOT!
Eating cheesecake, delicious, white chocolate what an amazing cook.
Going to our senior prom and getting dressed up to go and taking pictures, we we really 17.

From Andy- The silly sweet face of our Roscoe. I always called him either Mister or Sweetface.

From Andy- I miss my mister everyday at every moment.

From Susan- Roscoe,,, the greatest brother that ever was. We played the piano together, danced together, partied together, loved together, laughed together, and cried together. Roscoe was a very talented, smart, and incredibly loved man. Andy was able to be right there with Roscoe and matched him at every turn. I am so grateful for the love that they shared and the care that they gave each other.. and the fun they had together. I have so many memories of Roscoe and the times we spent together, , , and have had a picture that we took when we were checking out places for the Family Reunion that we were in charge of, , it has sat on my desk at work for years. Such fun times – the picture always makes me laugh. There are so many other memories that there is not enough room here to write them. Although, my recent one is that he called me from the hospital and we were able to talk for a while.. just to hear his voice was incredible – and now to be able to talk to him every day, and know that he is with Mom and Dad and Jeannette,, I can’t wait for the other side – to be able to enjoy them all again. Not a moment goes by in my day that my family is not in my mind – and Roscoe most of all.

From Shelli- Happy Birthday Uncle Roscoe! You are one amazing man. I loved how you always smelled so good and had cute socks on. You were always happy and silly all the time. I love you and we know you are still around. xo

From Heidi- I've always had your birthday on my calendar since I can remember. Sept. 2nd has always been a special day for me to celebrate YOU. Remember when you sent me that cute money card with the dog on it for my birthday and added a crisp $10 bill for me to buy a CD? :) I loved visiting you at your cool apartment and having lunch together. It was nice visiting and talking with you while you were in the hospital a few years ago. We sat and looked at old pics and Hailey made you a pumpkin- you showed it to all the nurses. Then I wheeled you around the floor in the wheelchair while you introduced me to everyone and then we went outside for a while and talked about you and Andy. :) After that we went into the gift shop and you bought me a bling ring... you let me pick it out, and you bought slippers. That was so fun! You always shared with us how Carol was and what you have been doing with her lately. You loved your doggies to pieces! My last text from you was, "Thank you sweetheart. Xxox" I will always remember your hug and they way you held my hands in yours from your bedside. Oh how I love you and miss you. And I know you will always remember my funny scrunched up face. Thank you for being you and always being there for me. We will blow out a candle for you and I will make a wish- you will be the only one who knows what my wish is. :) I LOVE YOU. Happy Birthday my dear sweet Uncle. XO

From Maryjane- I have always loved Roscoe. The first time I met him, he was 10 and I was 16. As I walked into the house to meet the Bigler's (dating Don) and to have Sunday family dinner, I was met at the front door by little Roscoe and his pet baby alligator, which he quickly pushed in my face! Instead of screaming, I said "how cute", laughed and asked to hold it! We hit it off from that day forward. As he got older we became the best of friends. Even though he became my brother-in-law, he was truly my brother. He could make me laugh in a second and of course I had to be silly right along with him. His love, sincerity, and caring heart made him my best guy friend I have ever had, actually, the best friend I have ever had.
Heres to you sweet Roscoe, Happy Birthday! I am sure the heavens are rejoicing in your return home. You are terribly missed here but I thank you for being close by and letting me know all is well and that I will see you again someday. Love, Maryjane xox

From Chris- Happy Birthday Uncle Roscoe!!!!! My favorite memory of Uncle Roscoe was how he used to come over  to Grandma and Grandpa’s house off of live oak and play Grandma’s baby grand piano.  I loved to hear him play.  Uncle Roscoe had the funniest sense of humor…even when he wasn’t trying, he would make me laugh. Love ya Uncle Roscoe!!!
From Nancy- Happy Birthday Little Brother!! I will always remember you with Bunny Ears making everyone else laugh when you knew time was short!!! Thank you for your humor, Thank you for the many phone calls and support during trying times. Thank you for your talents that blessed your life and others. You have been respected, supported, and cared for by a medical community that loved you... Your body is here, like Jeff because disease took it down, but your spirit lives on in us who loved you, and when you come to say hello. Visit often and share your wisdom, we are listening. Our skiing trips will be a sweet memory for ever...thanks for good times... I love you Nancy
